- WAPR has consultative status with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Labor Organization (ILO).
- WAPR Phil has participated in programs on the mental health of the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office.
WAPR-Phils. An affiliate of the global WAPR has been one of the leading affiliate organizations of WAPR, especially in the Asia Pacific Region. As WAPR President Dr. Lourdes L. Ignacio was elected President in 2009-2012. During this time WAPR Phil, organized the 1st Asia Pacific Conference on Psychosocial Rehabilitation in August 2012 in Manila, drawing an attendance of 600 mental health professionals worldwide and the Asia Pacific Region and nationwide in the Philippines. President Benigno Aquino, Jr. was the keynote speaker of the conference.

PCHRD
The Department of Science and Technology, through the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD), awarded a research grant to WAPR to undertake a study: Defining the Research Agenda in Mental Health in the Philippines (2018-2019).
CBM
CBM is an international organization with programs directed at the inclusion of persons with disabilities. It has provided continued support to WAPR in sustaining its psychosocial management program for survivors of disasters in Mindanao, Northern Iloilo and Eastern Visayas from 2011 to the present.
