Considered pioneering in the country at the time, the book documented the “lessons learned” by the Mental Health Task Force in Disaster Management created by President Corazon Aquino, and has become the major reference material in the integration of psychosocial intervention in the overall disaster management program by the National Disaster Coordinating Council and the specific government agencies involved in disaster response.
